My first was a craptastic Thompson house brand, boy were they harsh.. I remember the wrapper must have been dyed or coated in something, maybe ink because they would leave stains in your hand and on your lips.. LAME!!!

I remembered yesterday that my first box/bundle was also a Thompson Cigar brand, in robusto size. But i never had a bad experience with them. I used to get them shipped to me on a monthly basis. it was a nice system they had back then.

I bought two boxes my first time. I bought a box of Perdomo Champagne Serie R Robustos and a box of Oliva Serie V Robusto's. Haven't stopped buying since. Additctive I tell you!

My first box was a 2001 edition of Torano's 1916 Cameroon torpedos. I remember strutting around Boston puffing on these babies. I still have 3 or 4 in the humi for old time's sake.

My first box was CAO Gold Robustos......pretty good place to start. Mild but with some flavor.

BTW- since there seems to be some Sancho Panzo hos here, the Extra Fuertes are a great deal IMHO. You can get a box of the Pampalonas (4.5" x 50) for about $37 from either JR or Atlantic cigars online and they are a very nice smoke. Nice size for winter too.

CAO Moontrance Coronas, not bad for flavoreds, though I prefer regulars now.
