The Connecticut and the couple Habanos I have tried started out a little harsh at first which is not a deal breaker but the taste just never developed into anything that I found enjoyable. The draw on these were a little on the loose side for my liking but definitely not a deal breaker. Also keep in mind that I keep my cabinet between 66-68 RH and everything else smokes fine. I am being fair as I am letting a few more rest and will try them again as I find it hard to totally write off a brand with only a few samplings. It's also not too often I smoke something that I can honestly say I did not enjoy at all and the Connecticut was one of those rare cases. Normally if this were to happen I would say my palatte must have been screwed up that day but I lit up a Taboo Exotic Maduro II after smoking the Connie and I absolutely enjoyed it so I can't even blame it on my palette. Don't get me wrong, Visually these sticks look great and are very well constructed true to Oliva fashion but flavor profile it was a swing and miss for my tastes.
At the same time it probably was not a good idea to have one of my very first posts on a new board be a negative review on a stick that everyone seems to like but I tend to be honest by a fault. Hopefully no one takes it personal.
None taken...no biggy

I still have a bunch of Habanos left too, and actually sending out a 5er today to someone who has yet to try them but I will still give them another chance as I never write a smoke off right away but again not in a hurry since there is so much other stuff sitting in my humidor that I know I will truly enjoy. This just goes to show the greatness of this hobby of ours. We have such a great selection of smokes from such a wide variety of manufacturers and countries that no one is forced to smoke what they don't really enjoy.
Trust me, you are not the only one this board not to like them. A lot of people thought they didn't live up to the hype, others just don't like them. I didn't judge them by the hype but by the price and I think they are a good smoke for the price. As far as the Connecticut do you like other cigars with that wrapper? I for one just don't like that wrapper.

Not my first choice of wrapper but do not dislike them by any means. I may have to try the cammie this weekend to see what the verdict is.
Since we have a lot of Nub fans posting, is the ultra loose draw normal for this stick? Like I mentioned earlier every one I have smoked had a very loose draw which shocked me for such a large ring stick.

I have had just about every size and wrapper. I have found the cammies to be my favorite. The habanos were not strong enough for what I was expecting and the connies were good considering I dont like con. shade wrappers

I wouldn't say ultra loose, but they do have a easy draw on them. I am starting to think the Cammie is my fav of the three. At first I thought the Habano was. Good luck with the cammie, but if its not for you there are plenty other cigars out there
