Drew Estates New release
Tried a new release from Drew Estates, I know I know - flavored cigar - but acutually smoked this one till I burned my stubby little fingers. Tabak Especial Robusto Negra, coffee infused -- nice cigar nice flavor and smoke. Anybody else try it yet?

I think too many people give the Drew Estates sticks the short shrift because of the "flavored" concept. However, I think the idea of infused tobaccos is one whose time has come.
It's important to keep in mind that cigars like the Kuba Kuba are going to attract people to cigar smoking who might never before have tried the lifestyle. As more and more Nazi-esque legislation works its way into society, the only defense is larger numbers. In short, the more cigar smokers there are, the harder it is to pass anti-cigar legislation. Not only that, I'm willing to bet that flavored cigars make an excellent "gateway" to the larger and more traditional cigar world. While perhaps not my cup of tea, I personally greet each new flavor idea as an exciting opportunity to make new cigar enthusiasts, which gives us another ally in the war against personal enjoyment. |

tried this one yesterday with some coffee in the morning... I try everything that comes into the shop whether i wanna or not... it was made well, good flavor, overall smooth. That being said i will not smoke it often as my itch for a flavor isnt very often but hey it will probally be the one i grab if i do... they said it was supposed to be like the Kaluah that is going away.. i thought it was nothing like the kaluaha and alot like the java.. just my opinion |

Never tried it, though it sounds a lot like the Java, which I like.

I have to admit, I am a fan of several Drew Estates Blends. The Java being one of them. Several of his Natural blends are quite nice, and the Acid line is a nice break and I have offered them to new cigar smokers and brought them into the fold.
