My first Perdomo Lot 23

I just finished the stick and I have pretty negative feelings. The construction seemed to be correct and the wrapper was smooth (Toro). I punched the head and got a nice draw with very little pre light flavor. Upon lighting it the cigar seemed to be much fuller in body than I had expected with a somewhat unusual taste that I couldn't pinpoint. It wasn't bad, just different from what I was expecting, and new to me. There was also a LOT of spice in the back of the throat and too much pepper to run smoke through my nose more than a couple of times. Seemed really harsh in fact, sorta like burning oak leaves.
The stick canoed on me all the way to the nub and had to be touched up with the torch about every 3/4 inch. By the time it got to be about 3" long it actually mellowed out and the flavors improved. It was still a coarse smoke from beginning to end, My humi is locked on 65% RH and I don't usually have burn issues. I suppose I'll try another on if it happens to come in a sampler, but I'm not goimg to go out of my way to pick up another single at my B&M.

Cool

Usually these are pretty consistent sticks. I'd give them another try. I personally like the maduro better.

The Perdomo Lot 23 are one of my go to cigars. I've never experienced a problem with them. Never judge a cigar based on one stick, so give it another shot.

I would agree...I actually had the same experience with my first Lot 23. The first wasnt the best it burned uneven yet everyone I have had since has been most excellent

Yeah, definitely good in my book. Try another some time.

Of course the Perdomo Habano is even better!

Try and try again! I think this is a fantastic smoke with a fantastic price. I love cameroon and I think this is one of the best out there. I think it puts the Coronado, and CAO anniversary cameroons to shame and comes in cheaper too. You must have had a bad one, cause I've smoke a couple boxes of these with not a bad one to be found.
