Doug, I concur 150%! IN 30 years of cigar smoking, the 64 is my all time favorite smoke! (After I finished the last one of a box a while ago, I seriously considered sprinkling the ashes over my salad!)

Oh, and I have a far, far better alternative to breaking apart that nub. Check out Carlito's Stogienubber!!

Padron's are most consistant in quality of any cigar I've tried IMO - never had a poor one yet. 64's & 26's are probably my favorite cigars out there and regular lines are superb too - plus they age beautifully!

Padron 64 Principe is one of my favorite smokes. It has never been a let down.

Well said John I concur, and I also have to agree with the fact that the Padron 64's have been in my top five for years and are amazing sticks, you can't go wrong with a corona maduro.

I thought I had seen everything and have even used an eyeglass screwdriver to stick into the nubs of my cigars to finish it off but seeing the Stogienubber and being a good customer of TampaHumidor.com I quickly ordered that little sucker and for $13 and a lifetime warranty don't know how you can beat it. Thx for the tip, Bishop!

So I smoked my Padron Anniversery '64 Natural last night, and was saddly overall disappointed. It was a nice smoke, but all the hype I had built up for it let me down. The first third was dominated by a strong leather and hint of spice, the second third changed completely to a semi-sweet and smooth coco which was wonderful, and the last third went back to the strong leather with hints of spice and a sweet finish. The aroma of it reminded me a lot of the 5 Vegas Series 'A' with its leathery/coco notes.

I smoked the thing down to like 3/4" which took a good hour and a half, but less than half of that time was spent "in the sweet spot". The for the price tag and overall experiance I can't say I would want to gather alot of them. I will however try to keep a couple on hand, and try them again with a year's age on them thinking that just maybe this one was too young.

I smoked one and it was very good. I smoked it down to the nub, used a tooth pick till it started to burn my mustache.
