TV or no TV when you're smoking?

For those who don't know me, I like to do wierd research from time to time Today's research question is this:

When you are smoking at a lounge, or in your basement (or somewhere with electrical outlets) do you prefer the tv on or off...

Normally prefer to have a walk with the dog for my evening cigar.

I have been known to be in bars and watching games though with a stogie.

no tv, on the porch alone and quiet.. you can watch tv anytime...but there is little time to sit in one chair in quiet for 2 hours.. THAT, is the only time i can truly enjoy a smoke..

My fiance is cool with it too.. I work at a busy sports bar, and I am ALWAYS running around. So when i grab a smoke, i am not going anywhere, or doing anything else but enjoying it.

My ex did not complain a lot about it when we were dating. Once we moved in together he did make his feelings known. I spent 7 years showering before bed and smoking in my truck and outside.

LOL, so yeah it may be something you want to clear up going into it.

Watch out for dem kids too.

My wife lets me out to herf about once a week and usually anytime I wanted I could smoke a stogie outside in the evening.

I never have TV outside (the only place I can light up a cigar) so I might be more inclined to watching it while smoking sometime, if possible.

I don't watch tv with cigars, however, I listen to baseball radio play by play on my deck with a cigar quite often. That being said, I'm with Justin, I smoke the vast majority (90% or so) of my cigars on my porch or deck, quietly, and by myself.

Re: TV or no TV when you're smoking?

If I have guests, i'd prefer no TV. Great time to enjoy a fine cigar and great conversation.

If alone, I like to watch TV especially if a game is on....

Re: TV or no TV when you're smoking?

If I go to the lodge the big screen is always on. But I enjoy most of my smokes on a long walk or sitting outside. I guess I don't really have a preference but I tend to have the tv off for my best smokes so I can concentrate on the cigar (and possibly the drink).

Definately prefer it on. I like a good sporting event.

Unless I am at the strip club looking at something else.

I would prefer a good sports radio station. But, the TV is good.

Re: TV or no TV when you're smoking?

I only smoke outside, so no TV on my deck. I am in the slow process of finishing a room in the basement. This room is going to be my piddle room. It has a window so I just may smoke a time or two in there. The wife has already been fore-warned.

Re: TV or no TV when you're smoking?

I love sitting in my cigar room watching sports or the poker or a good movie while enjoying a cigar. Nothing better except when friends come over and do it together. Tv on.
