I would prefer to light my cigar in this order: 1. Cedar spill 2. wooden matches 3. Torch

But I usually end up doing it in the reverse order

matches are cool, they lite the cigar easily, but when your outside you can go thru 5 that the wind blows out before you even get smoke out of your stick. Drives me insane. then when the wind is acting up and i use a match i always have a burn issue. the torch always does me justice for burning perfectly and lighting with ease.

Soft flame? Like it's safe for pipes?

Propane torch right here baby!. Lights it in about 2 seconds flat, and once you get good with it, you actually get a damn nice light from it. One added bonuse is you NEVER haf to refill it! LOL

I have done this a well. The only down side is it is a real pain to carry around in your pocket. I use my triple torch most of the time.
