Just a little tale of the generousity of Mike from Leafandale

I was on another site where we were discussing a website with UNREAL prices--I mean literally wholesale--Well no one trusted this site and felt it was an identity theft trap--So yours truly decided to bite the bullet and take one for the team

I ordered a box of VSG sorcerers at a crazy low price--the web site said they had a number of boxes in stock

Well of course after I ordered I got an email saying they didn't have them in stock and probably never woud -WTF!!

I reported this to the board members and said beware

Well-Mike writes to me after reading this, that he will send me a box of sorcerers AND honor the price of this BS website

I mean this price was CRAZY--but I just got a shipping notice from MIke

Talk about a generous Brother

I saw that as well. He really didn't have to do that and to see him offer it so freely really speaks volumes about the guy. I haven't ordered from him yet, but I certainly intend to now.

Look, it's really simple. This douch-bag was running a scam. I could see it from the first two pages of posts.

Now, after 4 days and 17 pages of posts, there are still people saying, "I hope he's legit... man I love those prices. I'll wait for someone here to get their order first and then I'll order."

Harvey bit the bullet cause the prices were just stupid low!! I can't blame him. Harvey probably didn't even NEED the box of Sorcerers, he just wanted to check out the company, and the VSG is one of his go-to sticks. And his CC company will not allow any of his personal info to be used by an a--hole like this guy anyhow. So Harvey doesn't really lose anything, and there was no real need for me to jump in and save the day.

I only wanted to illustrate to those involved in the thread that it can pay to have a good relationship with your B&M or online retailer. Guys like me (who refuse to give away their goods) get bashed all the time because there's always someone who sells it for less. And for a lot of cigar lovers, price is the ONLY factor when buying. When I posted my offer for Harvey in that thread, another guy immediately asked me if I would match a price for him, too. I said no. Do I have to tell you why I said no? OK, just in case you're not in the mood to play guessing games......... it's because he has never spent a dime with me. Has Harvey spent thousands of dollars with me? No. But he has ordered from me a few times and I appreciate it.

Build a relationship with a reputable retailer (on or off line) and it will be well worth your time.

Anyway, my wife just yelled that the new season of The Shield just started so I gotta run!!
