Another Gator Victory
Another game....another Gator victory. The Gators, as I'm stated in several threads, faced the Tennessee Volunteers this week in Tennessee. The victory cigar this week was the Reyes Family Premier and it was smoked after a 30-6 victory.
The stick: This is a rough but good looking cigars with an oily sheen to it. The wrapper, what I know now is a Maduro Ecuadorian Sumatra, has a mottled, brendel appearance to it which was rather new and interesting (Pic 2). Comstruction seemed moderate; large veined and evident seaming along the roll. The smoke: Before light up, the foot gave a sweet, nutty aroma. Immediately upon lighting the first flavors were woodsy and a sweet earthy tint (unplaceable really). This flavor remained relatively consistent throughout the smoke, but did vary in intensity. The body was medium throughout. The finish was short and dry. The surprising part about this cigar was that I couldn't pick up a single bit of the cocoa flavor that seems so characteristic of maduro wrappers. The cigars was pretty low maintenance (lighting, burn, ashing) for the first 2/3s. The ash was speckled grey and black and held for an inch before ashing. The last 1/3 - the smoke was struggling to stay lit and required more attention. The flavors turned bitter and I, rather uncharacteristically, decided to walk away from it. The Game: Vast improvements in the pass coverage and blocking by the offensive line provided more time and better targets for Tebow to pass to. Next game ~ The University of Florida Gators face the Mississippi Rebels back in the Swamp. Lined up for a victory smoke is Trinidad. Go Gators!! |

There is no need for them to learn all that fancy stuff - they can get someone else to do it.
