Well I made it back safe and sound with a little over 70 miles under my belt. I started out at Cigar King in Skokie, IL where I had a 601 Oscuro. What a great place and a nice bunch of people. Learned quite a bit and really liked the lived in look of the place. Tons of chairs and good conversation with both staff and some regulars. I also picked up an Oliva Serie V, Por Larranage, and La Aroma de Cuba.

After this was on to Churchills n Down in Deerfield, IL for a La Flor Dominica. This was probably my favorite smoke of the day. Great draw and a medium body. Just what I needed after going a little too big first thing with the 601. Nice little shop and good atmosphere. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Selection was definitely not as large as cigar king but was worth the trip anyway. I was also able to convince my buddy to leave work and join me for the this stop and the rest of the trip. He really wasn't feeling well if you know what I mean.

Moving on to Flatlanders brewpub in Lincolnshire, IL for an ok Belgian golden and a game of pool. Talked to the brewmaster for a little bit then headed up the road.

Next stop was Mickey Finns in Libertyville, the plan was to get a growler (jug) of their beer and take to our next stop but the were out of lids so we had a great American Pale Ale and stared at the barmaid. Time for our final stop.

Last stop Cigars and More in Libertyville, IL for a CAO Criollo. Pretty decent smoke to finish of the day with if I don't mind saying but it takes 3rd place for the day.

Overall a fun day of "Staycation" for under 50 bucks and I look forward to doing it again.
