Flor de Oliva or Roly

I run a tight budget. Tight isn't even quite the word actually. So I'm looking into a decently priced but great tasting bundle. It seems most people here highly praise Flor de Oliva, but I'm hoping to get some opinions from those who have tried both FdO and Roly. To give you an idea of what I'm looking for, I typically like medium to very full bodied smokes, such as Punch or H.Upmann.

Though, I think you are going to just find a mix of opinions. There are a number of threads about "bundles" and "seconds" with a lot of chatter on prices and preferences.

If I get a second I'll try to look it up real quick, because I believe I know which thread it is.

At the moment I can not find the thread with a good list of cheaper smokes posted my "psygardelic" or what his user ID was before; which might be the problem.

Seriously, search with those names and you are going to find more than you probably want to read.

Absolutely no question......go for the FdO. While your at it, take a look at the Nicaraguan 3000 at Famous Smoke......you won't be sorry.

I like them both, but I would go with the FDO myself.

I've tried both the FdO's and Roly's maduro. I would have 2 give the FdO's the advantage in terms of flavor, but Roly's cost somewhat less. You might want to check out Cigarbid.com and http://www.cigarauctioneer.com/cigars/cigarauctions.cfm if you're lookin' for some deals. Good luck.

so far out of all the cheaper smokes Ive tried the famous 3000's are the ones i like the best. $39.95 delivered for a bundle of 20. they are a medium to full and flavor wise are very good IMO. There are deals all over the place to be found if you have a little patience and arent opposed to spending $2 a stick.Tell you what... But seriously, when they do run out, we will still need to find another good bundle, so other suggestions are still valuable.

Famous Nic 3000's, FDO's then Roly's. I smoke all three of them. Also try La Floridita, IMHO they are equal to Roly's. The Famous Nic 3000's are by far the best of the bunch.

Smoked one of my FDOs last night with a buddy. Pretty damn tasty I must say. He's a cigarette smoker but once in a while I'll give him one of my smokes. He enjoyed it also, burnt it about three quarters down. Nice recommendation.
