You do have to add just a touch of oil to the XiKAR when you do this.

I wouldn't put oil on a cutter. If you need to lube it up use dry graphite powder. The oil will attract dirt etc.. and gunk it up. Graphite powder is cheap and here is a place to get it http://www.graphitestore.com/itemDet...1574/cat_id/28

[SIZE=3]I do it a little different - clean the blades with metal cleaner Never-Dull ( same as I use on all of my custom knives ) and then polish with cloth or towel. [/SIZE]
