I'll say I'm still buying cigars but not as much as I used to. Just the other day for example I ordered a bunch of 5 packs insted of boxes like I like to do.

It takes 45 mins to get to my local B&M so I do not get to go as often as I would like. Especially since gas prices have gone up. But I also have a 10 month old son and the way he goes through diapers, food and clothes I am not able to spend as much as I used to on cigars. But he is worth it!

I have had a whole bunch of stuff happen to me that has hit into the cigar budget
...
gas (luckily I drive a econobox)
oil (for heat) has over doubled since last year
ex wife wants more money (because the high bills and she's a greedy b!t$h)
everything costs more so the money I do make doesn;t go as far
got custody of my daughter but really don't get any child support

Funny I am a pretty good budgeter (is that a word?) and have i nice cushion nest egg but I never would seen all that stuff coming so quick. I am being super cheap, making lunches, turning off the lights etc, etc, etc, etc, etc,

On the plus side I have a HUGE stash of cigars (500 or more) so I've got plenty until the proverbial sun comes out again. I think I'll have one as a matter of fact.

I still smoke the same cigars I always have.. So it doesnt effect me too much.. But then again I dont smoke them everyday.. Maybe 2-3 a week.. I wish I had more time to smoke more of them..

Thumbs down

First, let me say people in Atlanta need to CHILL the F%$%$ out. Gas is like gold around here, people are freakin out.....

Due to the economy my company has started salary roll backs and possibly 4 day work weeks in the future which will further cut the budget by 20% or so. Cigars will be out all together if that happens, which means I will be getting a second job and that job will be so the family (new baby on the way) will be ok.....things not looking good.

Definitely yes! My company has had two layoffs over the past month. So far I'm been safe but who knows about tomorrow. I'm not really smoking any less - just not replenishing what I do.

The economy is bad on wall street, not my street. I buy cigars with my fun money. I try my best not to talk down the economy. There are enough people doing that these days and it does not need any help.
