Make it tall enough so that at least one row of box cigars could be stored under the loose smoke storage on top next to the glass. Loose storage could be pull-out trays or something cool like that.

Without a doubt there needs to be a hidden drawer/compartment for those SPECIAL smokes. Also soft lighting would be a nice touch along with environment (temp & humidity) control.
Special tools compartment would be an asset as well.

I would use LED lights, they are much cooler and put them on a dimmer

Built in fans that are hidden.

cooling would be a nice option for me. It get real hot in my home.

Lightbulb

Good suggestion, Chris.... and.... what bow?

I'd like to see a drawer underneath the 'gars with maybe two slots for bottles, a couple of cubbies for glasses (wine, rocks glasses for scotch or both), and a cubbie each for wine tools and cigar tools.

One or two small drawers for cutters, lighters, ring gauges, Etc. Of course in my case right now, It just needs to be made of wood and able to store cigars!

All good ideas, especially the cooling, My LOML likes to turn off the AC when we're not home. Last time she did that my humi got to 90 degrees. I almost cried. I talked her into just turning up the temb, but that still isn't enough. I tried using refridgerated beads but the temp fluctuation has caused even the best cigars to blow up. Actually happened tonight with a great Padilla. Fortunately if a good cigar unravels, it still smokes good.
I plan on taking the advice of you BOTL and incorporating it into my cabinet humi. That's the great part of building each one as it's own design. I can do what ever I feel like doing. Like I've said before, good thing I don't do it for a living:sweat:

I love it, I need room for a bottle of Jack Daniels. My BIL and I herf every Saturday night and one thing we do to get the evening started is do a shot of JD. Then we have a JD and gingerail mixed drink along with a very good cigar or 2. I like the idea of bringing it all together in the humi.
