That's what level my humi's are at temperature-wise - they're in the basement spring/summer/fall, so it is always cold.

Once winter really comes, I'll move the humi's to a vacant closet and hang a light bulb inside (the closet, not the humi!). What you want to avoid is the daily up/down temperature fluctuations inside the humi (which usually implies that you need to switch to a really expensive thick real-wood humi., or control the environment around the humi. better). My house is old and drafty (and is getting close to being condemned). Putting the humi's inside coolers helps control the environment too.

im pretty sure mine isnt that expensive but i tend to get fluctuations in the temps throughout the day... i figured this was normal... ya im gonna put the humi near a light source or soemthing and hope this heats it up a bit... because my humidity levels are way too low right now

Cooler-dor time! :leph:

Anyhow, 62% RH isn't low enough to cause any problems, IMHO.

^ True. Better cold than hot. As long as its above 60 or so you should be perfectly fine. It just might be a little more difficult keeping the RH up.

Honest 65 Deg will not hurt your cigars at all, the only problem i have in the winter is keeping my RH around 63-65 it drops like crazy in the cold winters here in Norther WV....
