I think the Pailo makes a little cleaner cut, but if you already have a Xikar I don't think you need to run out and get the Pailo. By the way Xikar has a new smaller cutting coming out, or is out that looks really nice!

Xikar, palio, both are fine pieces , BUT I have a V cut table top cutter at work & here at home, I also carry a plastic V cut , my Xikar & the 60 ring double blade all stainless steel, but I use the V cut 90 % of the time, I also have a punch that gets a work out on the chisels , I guess its just personal prefference to what you like , I carry them all with 4 lighters & matches, BUT working in a Cigar shop I am always cutting & lighting Customers cigars .
Enjoy, Vince

I have both the Palio & Xikar cutters. The Palio for me is the better of the 2--You can get both for under $100.00 and that way if one gives you a problem Ship it and they will warranty it forever--You will always have a back-up cutter. Hope this helps!

I sell Palio, Xicar, and about 6 other brands. All will work well. Personally, I use my teeth. Just a small nip is all you need. Learn how to smoke, not show and blow.
