J Fuego Triple 7 (777)

This past weekend at Cigar Cigar Texas Fest I got to meet J Fuego and interview him about his cigars! The man knows what he is doing!! Well that same evening TxBob bought a box of his brand new Triple 7 (777) cigar and passed some out to the CL crew that was there (Thank you very much Bob!!). So last night on my way to work I decided to light one up.

I'm pretty sure this was a Robusto 5 X 50, it is a Nicaraguan Puro with a Maduro Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper.

The wrapper is very dark, would call it black. It had a little of that barnyard smell you get with a Maduro but you could also smell the rich Nicaraguan tobacco. The cigar light up prefect! Had a nice draw, almost perfect with plenty of smoke (but I would have liked a little more). Over all it had a good burn, I had to touch up one side a couple times, but I think I should have let this set a little longer before smoking it, so I take full blame on that part. You see these cigars where outside all day Sat sitting out in the open air and sun. If you like Maduros and Nicaraguan cigars this is a must try for you. I could really pick out both the Maduro flavor and the rich flavor I always get from a Nicaraguan cigar! Very tasty!

It was a little rough in spots, I think it could use a little rest. But I will for sure be buying and smoking some more of these cigars. If you have not had a J Fuego cigar, they are a must try cigar out there today!! This guy knows what he is doing!

I tried one of these this weekend. Unfortunately I did not have the same experience that you did. The construction was good. But the burn was really bad I had to tweak the cigar 8 times. I picked it up a couple days before at the B&M I usually go to. After seeing your review I will have to try another one. The flavor was good. But I do hate to fuss with a cigar just want to smoke it.

Yes, I tried one yesterday here in good ole Dubai and I must say construction isn't up to par with his other line of fine smokes. The one complaint I have is why does he have to be a follower when it came down to his cigar band (it won't keep me from smoking them), why not be a damn leader and come up with something outright brilliant!

They were the first J Fuego's I have ever bought or had. The one I smoked wasn't too bad. Mine had a good burn and decent taste I was pretty pleased. It was great finally meeting some of the people and putting faces to the names. I look forward to getting together again.
