Honduran Street Market Cigars

A very nice fellow from work stopped by my "Soul-Sucking Pod o' Death" and handed me about twenty cigars he picked up on a trip to Honduras. They are short little cheroot style cigars. It was obvious they were extremely dried out. He said he picked them up from a street market in Honduras and has had them for "a couple of years". I'm going to try to bring them back to life, but I have my doubts. So far, they haven't split...should I try one? They have been in quarantine with a humidifier for about a week.

There are actually some Cheroots that are intended to be smoked dry instead of humidified.Try 1 and see. There is a small Italian cigar my father used to smoke called a Perodi that was a small, dry Cheroot.

well, I think there's something to be said about a "mystery" cigar - I'm out of town right now, and running low in my travel humi....so yesterday, I went to the smoke shop downstairs from the office tower....and I'm in Canada right now...out rageous pricing!
but u can get a cigar just about anywhere - so I managed to pick up a Te Amo, Vintage 99 for a few bucks...now it sat in a box of reminants I'm sure....how long, unsure... and I thought, this cigar would be a waste, but to my surprise...it smoked extremely well....so the moral of this story is...you might be surprised John at what a cigar can do....when fending for itself!
