I have to say VSG. The Opus x is over rated

i wish i had half as many opus' as i have had the vsg. i just can't afford it. especially since i can get the vsgs for lower prices now. they are getting cheaper all the time. i just picked one up the other day. i have about six on hand right now.

The vsg is real boring in my opinion. The Opus has much more flavor.

I loved both, but I can get 2 VSG for the price of one Opus. Two hours of awesome versus 1 hour of awesome + a little tiny extra awesome.

I can't argue with this kind of intelligence. I do enjoy the VSG but I can get the Opus for sticker price so why buy VSG?

I have to go Opus on this one, even though it seems that the last couple Opuses (or would it be Opie, oh what ever) I have purchased are not the quality that they were say a year or two ago. I have several older ones that I have been aging ( some are over three years old) and they just look sooooo much better than the new ones. Any one else see this trend in the new ones?

You are correct as I see a trend I do not like but am hoping that the aging process of a couple of years will help out. I have a box of Opus from the last 4 years as I try to buy a box per year. As I tried one from the new box it didn't have the taste as the last few years but an Opus ages very well and the taste is sublime if you can wait for it.

i think the vsg is better out of the box then the opus x, but the opus with age on it is one of the best cigars you can ever smoke. i think the best rare smoke though that fuente makes is the anejo and i love the size 77 shark. i guess it just depends on the person though but both the vsg and opus are great smokes and both smoke very well just the vsg is a little better out of the box then the opus but the opus is better with age.

Funny how peoples taste are different. The Opus does nothing for me as far as being complex, to me the VSG is more complex with more flavor.
