Cigar Rotation

Heres a thread about rotation habits. I'm curious to know how you guys choose your gars.

I smoke 15-20 cigars a week, and will change brands/blends every cigar. No ryhme or reason, just like to smoke a large variety.

Also, I've never understood the "morning" or after a "heavy meal" buisness. I just pick a different gar than the last one I had.

Re: Cigar Rotation

Weekly avg is 3-6 smokes. I really don't have any preference or ritual. Just look in the humi's and pick something different every time. I never smoke the same cigar twice. Just my

Re: Cigar Rotation

Although I do have certain cigars I tend to lean towards (Party Shorts, Nic 3000s, TS 500M, and Short Storys), I usually just pick what looks good when I open the humi.

I smoke between 7-10 cigars a week, and maybe hit my go tos every other week. But recently, I do seem to be wanting to stream line my selections. I can't go to a B&M anymore, unless I know exactly why I'm going, just don't feel the thrill of looking anymore, same with Cbid. I know what I like now.

Re: Cigar Rotation

I've got about 3 go to gars but I try to vary my tastes. I love going to my humi in the afternoon and pick out what I am going to smoke or be in the mood for later in the evening. I have about 15 different cigars, all shapes, sizes and profiles in my humi now with 3 more coming from CBid (damn that devil site!)

Re: Cigar Rotation

I have a handful of "go to" cigars. The trusted sticks I turn to for those unpredictible days where something solid and trustworthy makes the end of the day all better.

I tend to smoke "new stuff" during my 2-3 trips to my local JR's during my lunch break.

Re: Cigar Rotation

I smoke 5-7 cigars/week. I have a go to smoke that I like that, fits my budget and is readily available - Padron 2000 maduro. There are other smokes in the same prize range (like say Partagas Shorts for instance) that are not readily available to me and are therefore out of the running for an everyday smoke. I usually stick with the go to smoke during the weekdays and pick something special out of the humi for weekends.

Having said that, my smoking habits are slowly changing after having met the rest of you ski bums! The slippery slope is killing me!

Re: Cigar Rotation

I smoke about 4 cigars a week. There are so many out there that right now, I have a hard time smoking a second, even if it was great. Eventually I will learn what I like and probably have a set of regular smokes, but I am always willing to try something new.

Re: Cigar Rotation

I don't smoke a lot of cigars in a week, maybe 5 to 7. I prefer variety and will rarely smoke the same brand twice.

Re: Cigar Rotation

Since I'm still fairly new I'm still in experimental mode. I smoke typically a cigar in the evening. Since I'm still sampling I tend to try a different stick each time. Many different sizes in my humis but whenever I buy I typically grab robustos. I will however go to a tried and true stick when I'm in no mood to be disappointed by something.

Re: Cigar Rotation

I try my best to try something different, something that suits my mood at the time. I do however find myself reaching for old faithful before catching myself and reaching to grab a different smoke a little to often.

Re: Cigar Rotation

I have 7-8 favorites but I usually smoke them as I can afford them or get a couple of boxes and smoke most them with a few others for variety spread out in between.

Re: Cigar Rotation

I have a dozen or so different brands that vary in size and shape. I do usually lean toward robustos and maduro. My smoking habit depends on the circumstance. Nice setting = quality smoke; yard work = cheaper brand; I have smokes for long sits and short sits; Mild body all the way to "Make you squint"

It usually depends on my mood and sometimes I'll buy a couple to try and give that a go in the evening to make an assessment. So..... you could say that I'm all over the place with about a 1/2 dozen "go-to" sticks.

Re: Cigar Rotation

I've got some go-to cigars but since becoming a member here my list of to-try cigars has expanded exponentially so I'm always trying something new.
