Speaking of the Fumas. I just opened my humidor to get a cigar and noticed that one of my cigars looked like it had some black soil inside it, so I take off the Celo and here is what I am greeted by.....I am pretty sure I know what that is, good thing my Humidor only has about 50 dollars worth of cigars in it....any suggestions???? GRRR....

Ooh, I had the same thing with my batch of FUMAS. I was going to sell them as I wasn't smoking them. Then when I went to get them out, I found a couple with the dreaded beetle holes. So I decided I had to smoke all the rest myself. Luckily, they were all in a container by themselves so there was no chance of spreading. But it took me a long time to smoke those suckers. I was so sick of those things by the end.

Just an update, I checked out all my other cigars in the Humidor and they looked fine. Like I said I only have about 50 dollars worth of cigars in there, should I just keep them in and see what happens? Never had this problem with this humidor before. The only thing I would be upset about is the Don Lino Africas that I have chilling in there. (Got a good deal on a 10 pack from CI so I didnt pay full price).

I've run across a hole a couple of times, but never have seen any beetles/bugs etc. I'm sure it indicates an infestation. Maybe the leaf had a hole and just made it past any inspection process. Maybe it was something else. I suggest you not panic.

In my case, there was a bug or two, not just holes. Also, I made the mistake of trying to smoke one of the ones with a hole in it. The hole was too close to the head of the cigar and the beetle grinds up the tobacco into fine particles which I got a mouthful on my first draw.

Yeah, I would hate to think its my humidor that is the issue. I have had my Humidor for about 3 years now and it has been a good humidor. The funny thing is, that beetle hatched only about 1 week after I got the cigars.
