Davidoff Raising Prices in 09!

I think all the cigar manufacturers should consider NOT raising their prices in 2009. The economy is very soft and people don't have the money to keep paying more and more and more for cigars!

As a retailer, I'm paying more for my product and shaving my margins (discounting more) just to make sales. We retailers are getting squeezed from both ends.

Agreed. Plus, SCHIP is a virtual certainty under the new (or ANY) administration, which will put the squeeze even tighter. I just hope I have a job next year

The way the economy is right now alot of folks may not be buying cigars, PERIOD!!

From what I recall, the price increases in 08 were attributed to the increased fuel/transportation costs. Hopefully, fuel will stay at it's current levels, and most mfg's won't raise wholesale prices.
