Defiance Cigars By Jesus Fuego for Xikar

I smoked the Defiance Cigar today - J. Fuego makes them for Xikar. I love J. Fuego's stuff, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

This cigar has a Nicaraguan cuban-seed, shade-grown Criollo wrapper that is aged for four years, Nicaraguan binder and filler composed of Nicaraguan and Honduran tobaccos.

Draw: Excellent

Burn: Excellent

Strength: Medium

This a good medium-bodied cigar throughout. A one-dimensional cigar, but with great flavor. A touch of pepper on the back of my throat; not as much as I like, but a good cigar nonetheless.

Not as full-bodied as I would have thought considering all the Nicaraguan tobacco used to make this stick.

I tried one of these for the first time yesterday; I agree with your review-they are on the mild side of medium, but with really good flavor! I also found it to be a very slow-burning cigar (and well-constructed like all the Fuegos I've tried).

Mine burned REALLY SLOW, too! Took over 2 hours to smoke it!

I would try it, if you haven't already. A top quality blend.

If you were just to look at the band, you'd think it was a cheapie bundle. CA rated this cigar a 91 some time ago. It's a decent smoke, especially considering the price. Several folks at Cigar Cigar purchase boxes of these regularly.
