Anyone know if the CigarLive Cigars ever popped up again for sale?

Hey Guys,

Been off the forum for awhile - life happens you know.. so I may have missed a post. If so, feel free to direct me to the right place.

I've been looking to get my hands on some more CigarLive cigars that Stogie did last year. I know that George Rico was the keeper of these smokes and I did ask the question over on GarLive but never got an answer.

I have to imagine that there is still a reasonable inventory of these somewhere - with Christmas in a couple of weeks, any chance they will emerge for another ordering period?

Anyone?

Thanks for the link. Man, that is a stupidly good price. If you have not tried them, you need to score some now while they are still available. All three blends are amazingly good, but the Blue Label with its Argentine tobacco is the one to try.

Me, I'm getting a box of each. These were easily worth what they originally cost, and at less than $4 a stick, they are easily one of the best cigars you will find in that price range.

If anyone is interested, Mike and I reviewed the Blue Label on our From the Havana Hut podcast number 19 here http://www.mindofmen.com/hh.xml

I also reviewed the Green Label as part of my One Off Segment on Doc's Stogiefresh podcast number 137 back in October.

I heard they were not worth the orignal price at all, the one I had cracked horribly, and I heard the same about them all. I would be pissed if I bought them for the original price.

A shame you had problems.

I hope you gave the cigar more than one try before coming to a decision on it. I've had Opus Xes and Padron Anniversary cigars that had burn problems in the past, but you don't write them off for a bad sample. Cigars are handmade products and always subject to individual problems. You need to smoke 3-5 before you render a verdict.

If you only tried one cigar and that was the one that cracked, then you really can't say for sure whether or not the cigar is any good.

As for what you may have heard from others, guess I can't speak to that. I had a box of each and they were all fantastic. No problems with any of them, and a lot of reviews that people posted shortly after they came out were very positive.

I do know that there was a bit of a label snafu where some bands got put on upside down, but Daniel took care of the people to whom that happened.

Either way though, they are certainly a good $4 cigar, so if you wanted, I guess that you could always pick up a 5 pack and give it another try. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Is it possible that there were problems with batches? The ones I had I liked, but I'm wondering if there was a bad run of them or something.

You are correct. All of the ones I had fell apart.

They all had great taste, but the wrappers sprung off.
