Chocolate and Cigars?

Ok so we know a lot of people pair drinks and cigars. I love a good bourbon with just about any cigar, and I have learned from the forums that rootbear also goes good with cigars.

But now from a banner here, and a guy at a local B&M I'm hearing about pairing choclate and cigars.

Has anybody here ever tried pairing choclate and cigars? The guy at the B&M brought in a dark choclate with hint of orange I think. He insited I try it, so I tried a small piece while I was in the middle if my cigar. Can't say it blow my mind or anything like that, but it wasn't bad.

Anybody else?

I always have chocolate but after I finish a cigar - I usually have coffee, hot or iced, or a Jolt with the cigars (beer, bourbon or Mohito's occasionally) but a piece of dark chocolate after I finish just makes the whole experience complete. Also I've been told it can help if you have any queasiness, settle the stomach.

Did that at the Ashton herf last Friday. Great combo. You can smoke and drink all night and never feel green.

I feel that dark almost bitter chocolate goes well with a maduro or full flavored cigars.

At a San Cristobal event they paired the cigars with chocolate and scotch if I am not mistaken.

one time when I was smoking a cigar, my wife gave me a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.. it was fantastic..

I've heard the same.. my B&M gave me some Ashton branded chocolate one time when I was there smoking.

I'd love to try the chocolate with chili pepper in it. I heard it's awesome!

Other than that, just some good 'ole Hershey Milk Chocolate is great with a cigar!
