Christmas Eve smoke, CAO Italia Box Press. LIVE REVIEW

Sitting outside, temp is in the mud 60s and I'm getting ready to light up my first CAO Italia Box Press. A rough looking wrapper with small veins with a very sharp box press. Reminds me of the box press on the LFD Factory Press. Anyway I will try to keep you updated

The wrapper had a slight barnyard smell to it, while the foot was mostly tobacco smell. Light up was not a problem, nice draw with plenty of thick white smoke from the start. Getting mostly tobacco flavor with just a little spice and nuttyness added in. Ash is very light grey and a little flackt' but there is a breeze outside. The extreme box press feels a little weird on the mouth but I'm enjoying this cigar very much so far.

The first half of the cigar didn't change much. The slight spice seemed to go away. Leaving that great tobacco flavor I enjoy in the Italia cigar. The ash while flacky held on nice. The first half was medium body at best.

Starting the 2nd half of the cigar. The ash is not so flacky anymore. But the draw has seem to get a little tighter, but not to bad. That slight spice comes back ever now and then. There has been a little tar build up at the mouth but not enough that I still can't enjoy the cigar. Also seems to be changing to a med to full body now.

Getting into the last third of the cigar, the flacky ash is back, but has only fallen off once since I lite it. Also the draw has opened up again, so I will glady take the flacky ash LOL. I'm really enjoying the cigar has I'm getting some more nutty flavor with the tobacco flavor that has lasted though out the cigar. It is for sure a med to full body (more on the med side) and that is what I expected.

I wish it was in the 60's here. Just moved 14" of snow off my patio.

Time for a cigar and a drink

Still working on this baby. With under an inch left the ash just fell for the 2nd time. Still getting plenty of smoke and flavor from it. Very smooth smoke so far no harshness to speak of.

Just nubbed it in little over an hour. My over all view on the smoke. The cigar had a flacky ash but held on good, I had to touch it up a couple times but no real problems with it. Though out most of the smoke it had a good draw with a lot of thick smoke. There wasn't a whole lot of flavor change but enough here and there to keep it interesting. But the flavor it had was more then. Enough. As said above I like the pure tobacco flavor I get with the Italia and the Box Press gave me what I was looking for. I would recommend the cigar to anybody who hasn't had one and will be picking up some more to enjoy. Hope everybody enjoyed my review, it was fun doing it live

I never had the box pressed Italia, but I have smoked the Brazilian one and loved it. And 60 degrees? Damn, you're lucky.

Love those myself. Just finished number 5 for the day after a nice dinner with the wife. Decided on a Hemi Work of Art that I had. Spent part of the afternoon over at Serious with some friends and had an El Rey de Los Habanos there...
