Rocky Patel Fusion line, thumbs up or down?

I ordered a RP Triple Fusion Sampler online because I am a die hard fan. I am wondering what people think of the blue label fusion, the MM and the DC "barber-pole" fusion. I have read mixed reviews and heard talk of RP "commercializing" the brand and selling less than great blends to make a buck... What are your thoughts? I'll put in a word when the package comes and I get a chance to try them a couple times.

Also message me if you have a great cigar or two you would trade for an I-Press (also each of the fusions are up for trade when they come too), which is also a definite good one.

The MM is the one I'm most anticipating, I hear that there is some dye in the wrapper that gets on the lips and fingers while smoking... I don't really care about that though.

If there's a construction flaw I don't care, smoke burn I don't care about unless it affects the taste, I do care however if the wrapper starts cracking and falling apart while I'm smoking it... I hate holding a cigar together while I'm trying to enjoy it.

And also, do the MM's have an ammonia taste to them? I've read reviews that complain of an ammonia flavor, but the reviews are all written from right when the line came out and they were back ordered before the cigar reached the reviewer. A lot of the reviewers that gave it negative reviews said that it tasted "rushed" I'm hoping that it was because they were rushed to meet demand... any ideas?

I thought the original Fusion was a decent smoke, though others felt the taste was too floral and not spicy enough. It's a good golfing stick.

I haven't pounced on the MM, partly because of the terrible experiences with another RP maduro, the R4. The R4 maduro's wrapper was apparently dyed, and tasted very salty/chemical. So, I'm not springing for any cheap Rocky maduros anymore.

Edge maduro was smokeable, and an even pleasant experience.

I picked up the same deal and was disappointed with the first fusion I smoked. I let them sit for a few weeks and have tried them all and liked each of them. I thought the barber pole wasn't going to burn cleanly bit it did. Nice smokes.

The only RP's that I think are exceptional are the Vintage, Edge and Sun Grown lines. RP has become similar to Gurkha in having thousands and thousands of different cigars released and leaving customers unclear which is which.

I have not tried the RP fusion. But i agree the 1990, 1992 and sungrown are pretty good. Let me know if u like the fusion. I also really enjoyed the Autumn Classic Series.

I got the same sampler about six months ago. I agree the MM is SUPER! The other two are good and I have given one or two of them to friends just getting into cigars. I think the sampler, in general, is a great grab.

I just finished a RP Fusion MM green label and it was great. Nice espresso/cream flavor that was consistent for about 2/3rd of the cigar. Then the cream flavor took over and had a touch of pepper. It burned perfectly and had great smoke. I'll post a pic tomorrow. It burned down to about 1/2 inch. For those of you that don't like em, just send them this way.
