Ashton VSG: different sizes, different flavor?

I recently have had the pleasure of sampling some Ashton VSGs and I have noticed a significant difference in flavor profiles between two of the vitolas. I have smoked a ginormous one called the "Wizard" (56x6"), and a "Sorcerer" (49x7"). The Wizard had way more wood and spice, whereas the Sorcerer was much milder in flavor; mostly roasted nuts, with a very creamy finish. Anyone else experience this with the VSGs? Whats been your experience with the various vitolas?

Oh absolutely, that it why it's one of my favorite all around smokes. My personal choices are the Beli #1 and the Illusion.

I love the intire VSG line however my prefrance goes to the Illusion I think with the smaller ring guage you get more of that great wrapper flavor.

Although I like all of them, they DO taste different in different sizes/shapes. You're getting more or less percentage of wrapper in different sizes...

Yes, they are all different. I find the Wizard much stronger and full flavored than the other sizes. The Wizard is the only VSG that I smoke.

Out of the ones I've had so far, I liked the Wizard the best in terms of flavor, but man is that thing huge. I had to dislocate my jaw like a boa constrictor in order to smoke it.

I think the Illusion is more complex then the larger ring gauges. I used to be a VSG whore and they are still one of my fav sticks. To me it also seems that the smaller ring gauge VSGs are better younger, and lose a little something with age, the larger ring VSGs just get better with age. But hey thats prob just me.

I enjoy the Wizard and Sorcerer.

I remember really enjoying these back in 2000-2002 and then, to me at least, they seemed to move towards medium body and not as full as I like them to be. I'm not sure if the blend changed or just my palate. I still pick one up from time to time but I never have the experience with them that I once had.

All VSG's are great cigars but I too like the Illusion the best.

I regularly smoke the Belicoso and the Enchantment. I think with the really big vitolas, you lose the zip they are known for.
