new Florida Tobacco tax????

Anyone from Florida heard about this...Someone told me today that Guvna Crist is talking about it.....Guess he figures he can fix the woes of the state by adding more taxes....I'm sorry but he's a douche bag....but he has a great tan and hot wife...

I don't know about Florida, but the Texas legislature, after raising cigarette taxes to about $1 a pack two years ago, is going for more. If they want to ban smoking, why don't they just say so instead of picking on this one vice? Heck, spread the good times around.

Here is an article that may address questions about the possibility of increasing Florida tobacco taxes. The article primarily talks about cigarettes but, according to the article, "Republican Rep. Juan Zapata, R- Miami, has filed a bill to raise Florida's low 34-cent per pack tax on smokes by 65 cents and raise taxes on other tobacco products."

Thanks for the article, hopefully when they refer to other tobacco products they are referring to smokeless and chewing tobacco...Time will tell I guess..I just quite smokless a couple months ago after 25 years, so I don't care bout that stuff anymore
