Impressed with the Squid's® use of old bands...I really dig the Soprano's lighter.....A very fine looking collection..

Don't know what I'm gonna do with mine, I play bass in a band and might start putting them on my practice bass(when I have enough to cover it). Any suggestion as to what glue works best...

I like the idea of scanning them in, as of right now I just have a box filled with them, scanning them in could really help me out with my clutter problems lol.

"Squid® has a huge collection... of cigar lighters using them... See Inbox.com Photo Viewer "

Outstanding!

Do you use rubber cement for your adhesive?
Thanks a lot!

No... I use a combination of craft glue and latex superglue to attach the bands to metal surfaces. And I sell the lighters, so if you have a special one you might like me to build, let me know. This goes for anybody reading this... <G>

We save them at my store. We give them to a guy that comes in and laminates them into tabletops and picture collages.

Re: What do you do with your Bands?

Seems like a lot of us are in No Mans Land with all the bands.
That Coffee Mug idea is a good one.
Lighters are very nice as well.

I am sure all of us have thought about sticking it on the Humidors but then the desire to keep the surface clean overrules that thought.

Hopefully one of us gets a Eureka moment and figures out a great application for them.

That's similiar to what I do... keep them in photo albums with a write up of the cigar and any notes about when/where I had it (weddings, cigar night, births, etc.)

Re: What do you do with your Bands?

I was looking through my bands just the other day. I had no idea I had smoked so many different cigars. I only keep one of each band, and there are well over 200 of them. Eep!

I did this with my saved up bands. I am thinking about doing another one and seeing if my favorite cigar shop wants it.
