As for the $30, 80th anviv. That price seems way too high to me. I swear when I was in Corona last week they had singles for $14-$18. I could be mistaking but it could be worth looking in to...

Re: Hello! And a couple interesting questions

the most expensive smoke that i've bough was a diamond crown maximus stanford 90th at 25$. actually gifted it to a friend and he said it was really good.

I usually try to spend between 3-8$ a stick, though occasionally I'll pay upwards of 10. I don't buy boxes cause I don't have the space but I do buy the 5 packs from the devil site.

Re: Hello! And a couple interesting questions

Most expensive: Two (small) Opus I got locally at $22 and $24. I've smoked one, and it was OK, but didn't knock my socks off. Still sitting on the other one for now. I also paid approximately the same for some Cubans that I bought when I was in Scotland. One of them, an Upmann corona, was so good, it's the one that kick-started my new cigar passion. Definitely worth it.

Locally, I buy singles, most of them in the $10-14 range. With our taxes, it's hard to get anything decent for less than that, but there are a few as low as $8.

Online, I buy a lot of seconds and bundles in the $2-3/stick range, and a few boxes in the $60-80 range, and a very few up to $100. C-Bid was very good to me, too.

Re: Hello! And a couple interesting questions

Most expensive stick i was was a opus in the 30 dollar range from the store in Ceasar's Palace in Vegas.

I haven't ventured into the box purchase catagory yet. Mostly I order different things offline in the 3 dollar range. If im in the mood for something new and don't want to wait I go to my local shop and pick up a stick or two in the 8 dollar range.

Re: Hello! And a couple interesting questions

1. Whats the most expensive cigar you have purchased? And was it worth it?

2. Roughly on average what do you think you spend on a cigar or box or cigars? Whatever is easier for you to answer.

#1) Padron 80th. Yes, it was worth it.
#2) Between $8.00-$20.00.

Re: Hello! And a couple interesting questions

The most Ive ever spent was $80 on a cuban Cohiba robbie. No, it wasn't worth it, but that's only because I had six sitting in my humi at home, I'd paid $12 bucks for. I was at a fine dining restaurant and one of the couples brought a bottle of 1993 Silver Oak Cab (abt $400), so I plunked down for two of the Cohibas.

Other than that, the most I've spent has been to pay MSRP for Opus, DC Maximus, Anejo, Tatuaje and that Padron 80th thing. All have been worth it, except for the Padron, which I think, at $30, is about $10 overpriced.

Boxes, boxes, boxes... I only buy boxes of cigars that I know beyond doubt I will smoke all of and that I know beyond doubt will improve with age. Currently, I have partials of LGC Serie R No 5 maddie, LGC selectos de Lujos maddie, CAO Brazillia Gol!, JdN Belicoso and Gran Consul, Edge Torp maddie. Otherwise, I buy singles from my B&Ms and 5'ers off the devil. I got in on the LGC reserva maddie's on the Monster last night and hooked 2x5 packs for $30 bucks/free shipping.

I don't buy Supers like Anejo, Opus, DC Maximus, out of season. I pick up what I think I'll smoke throughout the year, when they are released and pay retail, happily. Those are Christmas, NYE, birthday, weddings, etc, smokes only.
