OK, who did it?!?! There I was, making my way to my mailbox at 4 pm (hey, I work nights, I get up late ) when I open it up and find a package I thought I had been waiting for, for about 2 weeks.

I throw it on my counter in disgust because this package (completely unrelated to cigars) should have been here a week ago. I make my morning (afternoon) coffee. I surf the net, feed the cats, hell, I even come here and check out the new posts...I finally get around to opening the mail when, BOOM...

A Bomb.

I grab the envelope from the floor to figure out who it could be. Port Orange Florida. A fellow Sunshine Statesman (and woman from the address label). Don't know them. I don't even know where Port Orange is. It takes me a few minutes (and a shot of Kahlua in the coffee since its my day off ) to figure out I've been hit.

I immediately go into "First Responder" mode. Lets get these bad boys into the humi cuz its 85 freaking degrees out and they have been sitting in a black plastic mailbox for at least 3 hours!

All five patients: CAO Cameroon, Gurka Grand Master, Perdomo La Tradition, 5 Vegas Limitada and a Rojo Oro (looks Jamaican), are stable and recovering very well in a box filled with love (and 65% beads).

Can anyone tell me anything about the "red Gold" from the photo? I have never heard of it before. Any taster notes or even rumors would be nice. I love trying new stuff.

I got no nanners, no trader points and just a bit of ring gauge but I feel the love. Very nice group of gorillas here.

hey your a great guy, very understanding and cool. The least i could do for another fine addition to the jungle! BTW the Red Gold (nice trancribing by the way ) is a Royal Jamican Gold (robusto) there a very unique smoke, great flavor that is strange and unmatched. You get the gold part by now, and once you see the wrapper in the sunlight, you get the red part too

Glad I read this thread. I have a Royal Jamaican at the way bottom of the humi that I forgot all about. Prob been in there a good 5 months now. I'm thinking I may have to make a date with that this weekend. Thanks for the reminder!!!!! I know when I first got it I was anxious to smoke it but forgot all about it!

Well CrazyFool...Thank you very much for this very unexpected treat. All Cigars are doing well and after their mandatory two week resting period, I have a few days off right around Memorial day during which the Red Gold will be a fallen stick! (along with many others I'm sure)

I promise I will write back when I burn it. I have never seen anything like it and it looks great.

Wish I could type more but I gotta get ready for work. Today is my Monday (anyone that has ever done shift work knows what this means) so its gonna be a bear!
