Humidification Systems

First off, I want to thank you all. Everyone here has been very helpful answering all my newbie questions. I've been smoking cigars for a while now, but I mistakenly let my humidor dry out about a year back and ruined all my cigars, so I want to make sure I'm doing everything right this time around.

My question- What does everyone use for humidification systems in their humidors? I was using the stock system that came with it, but the owner at my local B&M turned me on to the Broveda(sp?) packs. They have been working great, but, they tend to be expensive as I was told that I need 3-4 in my humidor and they cost $5 each and need to be replaced every so often.

Also, as it is about time for me to pick up a new humidor, does anyone have any suggestions for a good inexpensive site? Or should I continue to just stalk "the devil site"?

Thanks everyone!

Re: Humidification Systems

I use the 65% heartfelt beads, and now the LG Hydra for my cabinet. the beads in my old 120cts worked great.

I have an extra 120 ct humidor if you need one. Just PM me and we can talk

Re: Humidification Systems

I'm happy with the 65% beads right now. My only advice is to get more than you think you need.

Im using the Puck 65% in my Savoy Large Humi, and I just bought a large tube of 65% beads from Heartfelt for my new 150ct humi. They seen to work best for me.

Re: Humidification Systems

Just go ahead and get some beads and a cooler and be done with it. It will make the slide down the slope a lot smoother.
