new threads

I noticed not only on my post but most of them, that you might have over 600 views on a post but maybe only 9 of the people who join in on the conversation. why is that ? i say come on join in im sure we all would love to here what you have to say. don't be shy.

Doc.. there are some/many that feel they don't have much to contribute or some times the thread relates to questions that have been asked over and over again.

I know you're trying to drum up participation, but if someone has nothing to say, they have nothing to say.

I'd rather read nothing than drivel.

if it is something a person has to say then its not drivel only to people who don't care about it or don't understand what there reading.

I read way more threads than I post in. The reason is simple, I don't always have something constructive to add. For instance, the OP might be asking a question that I don't know the answer to, or the answer may have already been posted. In those cases there's no real reason to post.

In other threads, the idea is more along the lines of striking up conversation. Those types of threads will usually see me participate.

I agree your statement... however going back to the original statement, if there is a thread with 900 views and 50 posts, if the other 850 people posted without something to say you get drivel.... my favorite word of the day. :]
