Should cigars be left in the factory box?

The question I have is how should a new box of cigars be stored? Not for aging just for keeping. I received a humidor as a gift so now I have two 100ct. The one I have had for a few years and I typically took the cigars out of the box when I bought them and placed them in humi.

Now with the second humidor I figured it was a good excuse to buy a few boxes. So I can fit a couple small boxes in there with taking the cigars out but it is cumbersome. Is there any benefit of leaving them in the box? Any pro’s and con's would be helpful. Also if I should them in the box should I leave it totally sealed in wrapper and everything until I want to smoke the first cigar?

OK, I am sorry if this has been asked before. I tried searching but I will admit I am still not totally familiar with the forums.

As long as the cigars are properly humidified and kept that way and the box will keep them properly I say keep them where you like. I know guys who keep their cigars in a Rubbermaid humidor and spent the rest of their money on cigars instead of a nice finish expensive humidor.

If you have room in your humidor to put the whole box in then it won't hurt anything. But Before long you will be taking them out because you need the space for your new cigars

if you have the means to store boxes (cabinet, walkin, cooler) then go ahead and leave em in the box.. otherwise, no big deal.

If I have room in a humidor, I'll stick the whole box in.

Get a cooler and utilize the humidor for "staging" purposes.
