Tat Havana VI

Ok, i had my first tat havana VI yesterday. I was very excited to try a tat since i have never had one before. I have to say I was a little disapointed though. The burn was very un-even, and the wrapper started to un-ravel about a quarter way through the smoke. I did however enjoy the flavor and taste. It was a torpedo stick. Anyone had similar experiences? Im hoping that it was just a bad stick.

Re: Tat Havana VI

I think you just got a bad one.... Try another, and try the brown label ones, if you have access to them....

Re: Tat Havana VI

Give it another try for sure! One of the two I've had (not the same size) had a little uneven burning in the first 1/4, but evened out nicely.

Re: Tat Havana VI

Bad construction and Tat's go hand in hand.. I bought a box of Havana VI Nobles and more than half the box was either plugged, bad/cracked wrappers ect.. bought 1 Miami and cut it and it unraveled itself... very disappointing as tatuaje's have awesome flavor but i just cant seem to have luck with their construction. I just stay away from them now unless they are gifted.

I smoked the same stick yesterday. Construction on mine was perfect, but I was disappointed with the flavor. I expected more for the $8 it cost me. I also have a Tat black, which I will try next.

Re: Tat Havana VI

Nary a problem for me, either. The hermosos are just dandy smokes. I have heard people complain about the Nobles unraveling. I've only had one and it was spot-on perfect.

Re: Tat Havana VI

I know Pete really doesn't care if his cigars burn uneven a little, but I have never seen one come unwrapped. Try another one.

Re: Tat Havana VI

I had a fiver of the Artistas gifted recently, never had a burn issue. I can say though that I wasn't impressed with the flavor. Decent smoke, not much evolution and just kind of bland to me. Nothing special.

OTOH I also don't see anything in the brown label regios either. Went through a fiver of those and was similarly unimpressed. Just nothing special to me in terms of complexity. I guess they all have an original flavor, just nothing special enough for me to box up on.

I love Tat's and don't have many problems with plugged cigars.

Correction: It was the Artistas that I've heard complaints about. Realized my mistake when I read a subsequent post. Thanks.

Re: Tat Havana VI

I bought a box of hermosa's and I had the same exact issue with the first 3 or 4 I smoked but the last 3 or 4 have all been perfect. Not sure if I just had a run where I picked the bad sticks or if my humi is doing a better job at humidfying them then the b&m's humi.

I chatted with Pete at a Tatuaje event several months ago in TX. And complained that a box of Havana VI's I purchased (Nobles) did not burn well enough to my liking.

What did he say because I had a box where well over 50% of them had horrible issues with either being plugged, or uneven burning or damaged wrappers
