Anyone gotten any CFO #7s recently?

Well i just received my first CFO order (after my 4 week delivery) I didn't know they took so long i figured i messed up on the ordering or forgot to click the purchase button or something as i made another purchase that day. I thought i was confused but after reading posts i found this is normal.

Well I purchased a bundle of 25 Blend #7 Anejado 6.5/44

I haven't gotten much information on these cigars but I have read many posts that they are good cigars and for $.70 cents a stick I thought not bad. Now I have read posts that they very fresh. The ones I bought said they have a year of age on them (i am not exactly sure what they meant by that but they sold out of these in this size in about a week after I got them) They have no ammonia taste (i am smoking one right now after one day of dry boxing) they are however a bit squishy. I didn't know if they were long mixed or short filler (for the price i was thinking at the best medium filler) so I decided I might as well dissect one and it had a rather nicely done construction inside, certainly IMO medium filler but nice for a medium filler as it was mostly large leaves with some short in it, it was more like a long filler with some short in it.

ANYWAY

I was wondering if anyone has had these recently and how are they compared to the original? Is this a cigar that has a blend that changes slightly in each Lot? Are these cigars indeed aged for a year? It tastes like it could be aged that long but certainly not in cedar just possibly in the warehouse.

So lastly after my panted Large post that didn't need to be along with my terrible spelling and Grammar.

What details can anyone give me about this cigar? I would greatly appreciate it as much as possible out of what you know?
I am interested in the basics like. What is the wrapper? What is the Binder? and what makes up the filler? Also is it Medium filler like i suspect or is it roughly handled long? It cant be short. And any other info you can give me, anyone know where the factory is (its shipped from new jersey but is that the actual factory or a distributor, i think its the factory as it is hand labeled.

Thank you for any information you can give I would like to keep this post pretty open subject wise as long as it pertains to CFO.

I have a few other questions to those who have had other cigars from CFO. I am in Love with the Corojo Variety of leaf and Am wondering if they make good corojo cigars? Is the Graffiti as close to a Tatuaje as they claim? Also I have never had a candela Before (too young to have had them in the day) so how are they if anyone has tried them? Also what is the best Cigar they make that you have had and that is currently available.

THANK YOU for the information hopefully this will also help other budget minded people during this time of massive layoffs and bad economy. finding a stick that is good enough for my morning paper(internet) and coffee and that i can afford without having to choose if i want to eat or smoke LOL (i actually think if i go a month or 2 just smoking and lay off the food I might look a little better though LOL)

Re: Anyone gotten any CFO #7s recently?

I have purchased both the regular Blend #7 & the #7 Anejados. The Anejados do have more age on em. The 1st wheel of 50 of the regular blend is still being dryboxed from over a year ago.

They are a mixed filler cigar of Equadoran & Honduran tobaccos, but seem to be predominantly long filler.

The Corojo Superiores are pretty good with some lay down time.

I have smoked a couple of Grafitti's that did not remind me of a Tat. They weren't bad at all though.

Their factories are in Equador.

Place your order over the phone next time...it speeds up their response time & you might get your order in a couple weeks.

Hope this helps.

Agree 100% with Al on these.

Just recently received an order done online, 4 weeks is accurate on ordering in this manor. Like Al said if you call it usually takes less time.

I noticed on this last order they are not as young(wet) as my previous orders. #7 toros and #7 Robustos. Don't believe you'll find a better quality smoke for 50 cents robusto,70 cents toro. Quality tobacco IMO.

Re: Anyone gotten any CFO #7s recently?

I have only tried the One i currently have which is the #7 Anejados. I had no idea about the time for delivery but it doesn't matter to me they are cheap smokes and not bad at all. I had suspicions it was a Honduran filler with a Ecuadorian wrapper so I got the region down before i asked. I do find them to be a bit wet but not that much. How long would it be suggested to rest these? and also since they are wet how long should i dry box them? They seam like if i do it for about a month in the state they are right now and only being a 44 gauge. I normally don't buy Honduran Cigars as i prefer a spicy cigar. But These are great ESPECIALLY in the morning while i am kinda busy but still want my Cigar with morning coffee. I Mostly would have smoked in the office but that has changed so this is the first purchase i have maid since that changed but it was great to find such a cheap cigar that I can afford right now!

I have herd that these cigars are good when VERY dry? Someone said after some age and dry boxing they become very hard but taste much better so should i only dry box them or keep them under a low humidity.

I have also basically been told the #7 is the cigar to try from CFO if your going to make a first purchase is there anything else that is a must try for the price? I do agree that when i opened one up they are 80% long filler with about 10% medium and maybe 10% short So that was GREAT for a Mixed filler. The ones i got did not have much ammonia if any at all, although they are wet still. I smoked one off the truck and it went out on me 2 times but it wasn't bad they went out when a dry cigar wouldn't but to its defense it was sitting its not like it was so wet i was unable to keep it lit while lighting. Also i think most of the reviews on it are spot on these cigars definitely get better as you smoke them. sometimes a bit harsh at the beginning/foot or first third and just great at the end/head or last third.

Anything anyone wants to add to this post would be welcome I have now become interested in CFO cigars and wonder more about their other blends. Has anyone dared to try the Candela? I have never had a Candela and I have started to want to try one out but never wanted to pay for them (at least the ammount they go for from Camacho and Fuente and any other brand that seams they may be able to make a decent Candela as from what i have been told ever since the embargo non cuban candella leaf is very bitter and not sweet like it should be. Correct me on this statement as it is what i have herd I am not old enough to have had a pre embargo candela. Also I have been told that Honduran Candela is a decent leaf and dominican isnt as good? (doesnt fuente use only dominican wrappers?) Any more info on this wouold be nice. Sorry for going a bit off subject but I am thinking about buying maybe buying a possible 5 pack of the CFO Kermit. As i said before the main reason i havent tried them is because i have not wanted to pay the price for them as they are the kind of thing i would assume that the cheaper brands would have inferior leaf and CFO seams to be the change to this rule.

ANYWAY

I appreciate the information and wouldn't mind any more as this may help others like me before i purchased to give them that nudge to get some (although they may buy them all!!!)

Almost forgot to those who have these or have gotten more than one order first, Is the #7 and the #7 Anejado the same blend but with different age on them? if not what is the difference?

Also how consistent is this blend? I would think due to the low costs that the cigars would be slightly different with each lot of tobacco they buy? is this correct?

Other than that i know i am repeating myself but what other cigars should I or others try and what are Tobaccos do they use for filler binder and wrapper and also what type of filler are they? Long, Mixed, or short? Also are they like the #7's if they are mixed are they predominantly long?

Thanks for reading and thank you again for the previous information It helped me quench my curiosity. Also thanks to anyone else that might post more information on this subject! thanks all and most off all thanks CFO
