Funky Cigar Pricing?
Heya,
I been looking a lot recently at a lot of different cigars. I noticed some have some pretty funky pricing between different sizes. I've seen some smaller sizes more expensive than bigger sizes of the same cigar. I've seen cigars of different sizes priced the same. And now I've seen cigars with the same sized priced different. The Oliva Series "V" has 2 cigars at the same size, yet with different prices. I know they are different shapes, Figurado and Toro. Why is the Figurado more though? Double Toro (6.0" x 60) Normally - $168.00 Price - $149.95 Special V Figurado(6.0" x 60) Normally - $192.00 Price - $169.95 |

Re: Funky Cigar Pricing?
due to the shape of the figurado (not a standard rounded cap and foot), it is much harder to roll. This usually means the person wrapping it is more experienced.

Re: Funky Cigar Pricing?
Quote:
1. Figurado=more time to roll=more $ payed to roller 2. Figurado=more experienced roller= higher salary 1&2 both lead to a more expensive finished product. |
