Online Cigar Information Databases

Greetings,

In doing my cigar reviews, especially with gifted sticks, I don't always have information on the cigar in question. I've noticed that there are sometimes large discrepancies on different vendor and review sites pertaining to Origin, Wrapper, Binder, Filler and even size. Is there a publicly accessable database/information site that any of you would recommend as being the most accurate?

Thanks in advance!

This is actually one of the databases where I find discrepancies. You would trust Top25cigar to be accurate over any other source? Not being fascetious, just seeking your opinion.

We may be a little biased here, but yes.

(It's the brother site of Club Stogie btw.)

The incidence of error seems to be proportional to the amount of data available, and especially by the amount of input sources involved... and of course the data is always colored by the salesman and the consumer who was motivated to add their opinion...

That said, one of my favorite sources of information is:

http://www.cigarcyclopedia.com/

Re: Online Cigar Information Databases

If you are looking for technical details I would check the manufacturer of the stick first. Then, I would use both www.cigarcyclopedia.com and T25. to get your information.

I'm sure that Paul would agree that counter checking the technical data is a prudent thing to do and would in no way slight or downplay this forum or T25.

I find more basic, just the facts ma'am, stuff in Perelman's pocket guides, the hard copy reference of cigarcyclopedia.com, myself and have both the C and NC versions by my humi's for ready reference.
