Re: El Mejor

I smoke the Emeralds. They are good, but a little inconsistent in burn and taste, to me. But, I'll not throw out what I have left.

Re: El Mejor

I like their flavor,it's a good mid strength cigar with some good variety going for it in the taste department of a bit of spice, cream, cedar notes. But,from my exsperience they are pretty mediocre on their construction in that they consistantly have burn issues which I really don't mind that much which makes them a cheaper go to smoke for me.

Re: El Mejor

I heard good things about them.. then I had one. To be honest, it tasted like I was smoking rolled up newspaper.. I was not impressed.

Re: El Mejor

I only had one each of the Emerald and the Espresso. I liked them both, with the Emerald being the better of the two. At least for my tastes. I've actually have some of the Emeralds coming soon, I hope, from a WTS post.

Re: El Mejor

I like both the offerings, but I prefer the Espresso. To me, they both are just OK when fresh. They really like to age at least a month, then they get much better. I hope to pick up a box of the Expressos this week.

Re: El Mejor

I've only had the Expresso series and thought it was a pretty decent "yard-gar". I also don't remember having any major construction issues either.

Re: El Mejor

I picked up a 5-pack Expresso on the Devil site couple of months ago and let them sit in the Humi. Have smoked two and the flavor is not bad. Agree with some of the others with the burn issues......maybe more aging will fix that. Definitely not a bad smoke for the price!
