I guess I like em all. Each seems to have it's merits. I'm having a hard time picking just one.

Has anyone tried out the Victor Sinclair Bohemian triangular shaped cigars? At first I thought they got squished when I seen them. I liked those also.

Length: 5-7"
Ring: 42-47
Shape: Corona (5x42), Lonsdale (6.5x42), Corona Gorda (5.5x46) and Churchill (7x47) are my favorites.

As someone else said, I have a hard time enjoying anything 50rg and up.

Re: Favorite gauge, lenght, shape!!!!!!!

I'm a fan of thinner ring gauges...I feel like I can always appreciate a good Lonsdale.

My favorite shape, however, has got to be the perfecto. One can really appreciate the skill and workmanship that goes into an expertly-crafted perfecto. They look great, are works of art, and smoke great, from their fine points as the body flares open to the full ring gauge of the cigar. I don't smoke perfectos too often, but they're always a pleasure.

Why do you think they named the vitola "perfecto" in the first place?

Re: Favorite gauge, lenght, shape!!!!!!!

I started out a robusto lover, then moved on to torpedos, but now I like slightly longer cigars, with smaller ring gauges without the belicoso shape:
<50 x 5+

(on a side note, I smoked the last Nub I had in my humi, gifted to me a while back. glad to get it out of there. the ring gauge is ridiculous.)

Tough one, I like most of the sizes. If I had to choose one it would be a Robusto.

Re: Favorite gauge, lenght, shape!!!!!!!

Robusto, in the 5x50 range. Seems to be the perfect length for me, given the amount of time I'm able to smoke in the evening. I might break out something longer on a weekend if I know I'll have the time to finish it.

Re: Favorite gauge, lenght, shape!!!!!!!

I love salamones and diademas but lately I don't have time to smoke as much as I would like so I'm smoking more belis. Something great to be said for smoking a 52+ ring guage and not getting a cramp in your jaw when you are done.

Re: Favorite gauge, lenght, shape!!!!!!!

I like a 60 RG or a perfecto of most any size. I do enjoy the differences of slender vitolas, but the feel of a very solidly constructed, slow burning heavyweight makes me smile.
