Re: Favorite gauge, lenght, shape!!!!!!!

If I had to pick one, it would be a Toro 6 X 50

It really depends on the cigar though. Some cigars are better in certain vitolas than others....

I am begining to think that "Size doesn't matter" is whats inside.
As long as it taste good and burns good I am down with any size.

Re: Favorite gauge, lenght, shape!!!!!!!

Depends on the cigar, and the situation.

After work, I tend to reach for a corona or robusto, maybe a toro or similarly sized torpedo if I'm feeling particularly ambitious.

On the weekend, generally nothing shorter than 6", my favorite picks being lanceros, churchills, toros, etc.

I find that I like triple caps better than torpedos, it just feels more natural in my mouth.

If I had to pick one, I'd probably say a 7x42 lancero.

I agree, it is the taste that counts. As for length/type/size, it depends on time of day, and amount of time I have to smoke. Dont really do anything smaller than 38-40 ring. -John

Re: Favorite gauge, lenght, shape!!!!!!!

Nothing smaller than 50, unless its a tapered figuardo, or something. I'll smoke the 48-49 Don Carlos thing, whatever it is, occasionally, but all it does is make me wish I'd ponied up for the fatter vitola.

For me, this is a double edged sword. I cannot deny that bigger guages deliver more and better flavor, but I also dont care for anything bigger than about 54 in my mouth. There are sticks that I will cowboy up for however, like a CAO Amazon, or JdN Gran Consul. My humi averages about 52/54x6.
