Re: Anyone ever tried Don Kiki Cigars?

For me:
Browns = great Medium-full cigar
Reds = good medium cigar
Greens = pretty good mild cigar

Cigars Humidors & Cigar Gifts - CUBAN CRAFTERS normally runs a few sizes on sale, when they do pick them up.

I've had the Reds & the Greens. I agree with the above post. Preferred the Reds.

I have a green but i always pass it up when searching for cigars. Being that its light bodied, it may get some more unintentional age.

All of them are good in their own way, but I am partial to the Brown, much heavier flavor and more complexity in the smoke.

Also, great prices!

Re: Anyone ever tried Don Kiki Cigars?

I like short perfecto's and DK has a Brown Label Botella thats a dandy. I like medium to fulls so the Brown Labels are my favorites.

Last year I ordered three boxes of Browns and three weeks later NO cigars. Called them and after some checking they had NO IDEA where my order had gone. So they sent me another order....arrived in a week.

Fully a MONTH later my original order shows up. In a box that looked as thought it was DRAGGED from FL to MT. It had been shipped not to Montana but to MONTENEGRO. Small country on the Adriatic Sea bordered by Serbia, Bosnia, Albania!! The box was literally covered with all sorts of Customs stickers as well as postage stamps. Unfortunately it had been opened a few times , and ALL of the cigar boxes had been opened as well, with several missing. !?!?!? Called DK and they said to just keep it.

Another vote for the brown labels. The little botella is a tasty little smoke.

the browns are an awesome smoke, no matter the price, and they age well IMO.

Re: Anyone ever tried Don Kiki Cigars?

I've tried all 3, the brown and red are pretty good. The green was so-so. Cuban Crafters usually have pretty good deals on all 3 of them.

I haven't tried any of the Don kiki 's but cuban crafters carries some cigars called "vegas" they are from
Nicaragua - and are great --really worth checking out.

Yes, they were one of the first brands I bought with any regularity. They were/are well made, tasty and reasonably priced. Don Kiki's farm and factory is based in Esteli Nicaragua,
The brown labels are med to full, well constructed, aromatic and complex; a favorite of mine
The cupido or La carolina are well made, med to full, and taste good
Don Kiki makes a limited edition white label which tends to be very good as well
The vegas Tabacalera is a damned good smoke also, as is the Cabinet.

I don't care too much for the red and green labels but, if you like them, they too are priced very well.

All in all it is a good brand, with good smokes. His primary smokes tend to be Nicaraguan puros.

Their customer service used to be way better. I have heard that it basically sucks now.
