Kudos to Nick Perdomo

I was at my local B&M last Sat. and found out that Perdomo is going to eat the Schip tax. Of the Perdomo bands that they sell, a couple are going up $0.25, most are staying the same, and one is actually getting cheaper by $0.50. The salesperson said that it was Nicks way of saying FU to the US Gov. Now that is a class act from a great cigar manufacturer.

That is great news. I know Pete Johnson is also eating them for this year.

Nice. It will be great to grab more Habano Corojos at the same price as before.

A lot of the manufacturers are really coming through for the consumer. What a great business.

Re: Kudos to Nick Perdomo

That is good news!

Out of curiosity, it would be cool if those in-the-know could make a thread with a list of manufacturers we know who are resisting raising prices or refusing to do so...as well as a list of those who have raised. It would be nice to know for reference!

Re: Kudos to Nick Perdomo

I have never really smoked Perdomo cigars, but after hearing this, I might have to go out and buy a box to throw him some non-SCHIP business. Much respect for anyone who decides to lower prices in this economy, just to stick it to the government.

Re: Kudos to Nick Perdomo

Because of the stance Nick and Pete have taken with the SCHIP tax, whenever possible I will be throwing them some extra business.

Thanks to Nick and Pete!!!!

Re: Kudos to Nick Perdomo

That is very cool. If looking to get started with Perdomos the Lot 27 is a decent lower priced smoke and several places will throw in the nice 3 jet table lighter, gratis. Thanks for the info.

Re: Kudos to Nick Perdomo

Have loved Perdomo, well second to Patel, but definitely a good reason to stock up on some Patriarch and maybe Lot 23 Maduros at my local shop. Kinda upset the rep was there after I left, would love to get some Perdomo or Patel Tshirts, gotta have something to wear while smoking a few this summer.

Definite kudos to Nick. I still won't be buying his cigars, but I can definitely respect a guy like this.

Re: Kudos to Nick Perdomo

Guess your not a Perdomo fan. The first cigar I didn't finish (because was so bad) was a Perdomo. But I have tired the Perdomo Habano and like it, you should give that one a try just to see.
