Taboo had my back today.

Sorry I've been quiet here for awhile lately. Between connection issues with the site, and lack of time otherwise, I haven't had a moment to myself lately, it seems.

But alas, here I am.

Well, I had to see my grandmother off at her funeral today, but I got to see her the night before she died, so I'm at peace with it. Although my spirits were pretty low, around the time I got back into town, there was a box from Taboo at my door. They sent me a gift of ten sticks, including the twist, one I've been wanting to try for awhile.

So yeah, not much of a coming back post, but after my buddy Vinnie mentioned it, I felt I needed to let word here for the rest of the BOTL's at Puff. I'm going to be trying to make more time to chat with ya guys.

Anyone here have any recommendations for my first purchase at Taboo? I figure they've so kindly given me this gift, so I should send some of my business their way.

Sorry to her about your grandmother, sadly that is a part of life. Taboo on the other hand seems to be a company that knows how important customer service is. I have not had the chance to try any taboo's but after all the great things the company has done for the BOTL's here I will be sending some business there way. With that said I am curious as well what will be recomended for the taboo sticks.

Mike, I got your note, I'm sorry, very sorry to hear about the loss of your Grandmother, they are such special people in our lives. The box of sticks from Taboo couldn't have come at a better time for you, I'm sure it was a nice surprise.

I'm glad you checked in with us, don't be a stranger, let us know how those Taboo's worked for you, I have never had one yet either and need to get some.

Re: Taboo had my back today.

That is sad to hear about losing a loved one. I'm sorry for your loss, and my next smoke will go out to them.

The men and women at Taboo are amazing. Not to long ago I had made a purchase from their site and one item was backordered. They offered to hold the order until they got that product in, or I could ship it as is. What surprised me was that they were very friendly and able to explain the situation well. Also that they called first thing in the morning the next day! I can honestly say they have the best customer service I've ever experienced.

You will enjoy the Taboo, I have not been disappointed with any of the ones I have tried. Alot of people reccomend the Taboo Twist. But I personally like the Exotic Blend and the Special Forces blends. Of course I love a good maduro so that is probably why. Their LR Connecticut is pretty amazing as well.

Re: Taboo had my back today.

Sorry about your loss, I know that must be very difficult.

I ordered my Taboo Twist 5-pack over the weekend, and I'm expecting it before the week's out. This is my first Taboo buy, but I had one a few months ago. This will actually also be my first online cigar purchase. Not quite sure to expect. We will see, though!

Re: Taboo had my back today.

My condolences on the loss of your Grandmother.

As for Taboo, I would give Rob a call. You can tell him what kind of smokes you like and he will set you up with a sampler of his smokes to try. Be sure to check the retailer section so you have the latest coupon.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your Grandmother, Mike.

The folks at Taboo are absolutely fantastic. My personal favorite of their lineup is the HSG Lancero.

Take care!

Re: Taboo had my back today.

Sorry to hear about your Gram Mike. I hope she had a full life. I smoked my first Taboo this morning. The other night a bud gifted me a twist robusto and I lit it up this morning in the garage. I had finished a Victor Sinclair Connecticut Yankee fat torpedo that, coincidentally, a Puff member had also gifted me. Big difference I must say. Actually I liked the VS a lot more. The Taboo was quite tasty but had a heavy earthy, much like fresh plowed dirt taste to it. About halfway through the smoke it seemed to fade a bit (or I got used to it) but it was still there at the end. I didn't dislike it, but I don't think I'll buy any more. Their dark stuff looks more interesting to me as I usually prefer maduros.

Mike,
I did not know about your loss until now. So sorry to hear this. I recently lost my Grandfather in Sept. and my Grandmother in November so I know exactly how you feel.
If there is anything I can help you with, contact me.
Take Care
Rob
