A dead horse..

I know I've bitched about this before but gotta vent somewhere...Once again I went to my local b/m to grab a few smokes for the guys on my squad...Since they've had beetle problems I always check the sticks I pick for any obvious signs(you know, Holes)...They've had a buy 2 get one free on some Gloria Guerrero, robustos so I hastely grabbed three along with my other purchases and head out the door...That was at 630 pm..At 7 I was bored and looking through my sticks when I find 2 of the Gloria's have beetle holes....>Damnit....That my friends is the last straw...So when I get outta bed I'm going back up there and getting a refund and letting them know I will no longer be a customer....I'm tired of freezing my cigars....I did, however, try the remaining Gloria and was greeted with a pretty nice smoke(also no beetle pops)...I swear I'll go ape crap if any of my sticks get infested.....Wonder if homeowners insurance will cover that...hmmmmm....Thanks for listening..

Re: A dead horse..

I think it would be a wise choice to NOT go back to that B&M again. It sounds like they have a lot of specials running but it is probably do to the broken walk-in humidor and the beetle farm they have. It may suck finding another B&M but if I were you I would. Beside's there are plenty of online vendors that you can get your smokes from, which I am sure you know about. Man just the thought of them having beetles would keep me from ever going in there. Your a brave man.

I don't think I'd go back for anything but a refund.

Re: A dead horse..

How do they plan on correcting their beetle problem? Freeze the whole building? empty out the place and bug bomb it? Id say if they are infested that bad that its gonna be a never ending battle. Id be scared to put $150,000 dollars worth of inventory back into the place.

Re: A dead horse..

That's going to be one big problem for the B&M to fix. I would expect alot of the sticks are infected.
I'd stay away from that place and not have any of those cigars in my house!

Ew, that's disgusting. Hope you got a refund. I'd report that to a health department, that can't be healthy.

Re: A dead horse..

If I was you not only would I go there and get my money buck, but I would also try to get hold of some of the manufacturer reps and let them know what this B&M is doing to their cigars before selling them. Yeah he may just be out of business soon.

Logically he would take some inexpensive measures to keep the temperature in his building down. That's all he needs to do; beetle eggs are always in cigars and nobody can help or fix that, it's the temperature that makes them hatch. Sounds like he's being cheap on the A/C bill...

Pretty sure the health department does not regulate tobacconists.

Re: A dead horse..

Went back today with the contaminated sticks...The clerk was very nice as always and offered a refund($8.00 woohoo) actually exchanged them for a pair of scissors....I did some research and found the owners name, via business license figure I'll contact her see if she even cares. Clerk said it's a new owner and she's trying to get rid of old stock(hense the specials) but I says to her "I can't risk my investment buy continuing to buy from a store that doesn't care about it's sticks" then I biottch slapped her and ran(j/k)..I then went to the Cigar Gallery at out mall. I was scared to try them cause they store their infused with the regulars...But I figure off taste beats a total lose of my sticks....Picked up a couple Punch rare corojo and had one when I got home...Tasted great...And the temp and humidity were right on pare(70/70), prices weren't bad either.....As for online I'm a buy it get it kinda guy, hate to wait....I still buy on line buy I would rather go hands on when my money goes out the door.....

Re: A dead horse..

You dont have to worry about online purchasing....at least from places like CI, Famous, Taboo ect. Most are really well established businesses. I used to be like that with bike parts and tools until i found out how much money I could save online! Now I do all my buying online.

Same. I'm such an ebay whore. Haha.

Spent like $1,500 on ebay alone in the past 6-9 months. Got my PS3 on ebay with an extra controller for $375.00, $550.00 value. They got everything on there for so cheap! Love it.

So easy to do comparative shopping online.
