have you ever hoped that u would get out bid on Cbid?...winning 4 lots for a total of 50 sticks all of them are on my wish list so i want them but i put a low ball bid on one box not thinking i would really get it!....new rule;NEVER BID UNLESS YOU PLAN 2 WIN!.....this is going 2 hurt the pocket book

Did you actually get it? A lot of times, someone will snipe you at the end, especially if it is a good price.

Dude I've done this a couple times myself. Lessons learned.

My Personal Rules for Cbid:

1) Never bid after 4 or more drinks.

2) Never bid if you don't plan to win.

3) Be careful not to bid higher than what can be bought on other websites.

4) NEVER BID AFTER 4 OR MORE DRINKS!! (needs repeating)

5) Try not to have more than 4 bids going at once.(I have poor memory and will bid on the same product multiple times if I don't limit)

6) Remember that I live in a 1 bedroom apartment with my fiance' and will eventually run out room.

7) In regards to the fiance', forgiveness is easier to get than permission.

FOR THE LAST TIME STOP BIDDING AFTER 4 DRINKS!!

I also abstain from bidding after midnight. Typical scenario includes me, after a long day, trying to do the math for multiple bid dollar values, carefully researching going prices, not to mention humi-volume calculations to determine room available.

Also, don't bid "on an empty stomach".

A couple of months ago, I overbid on a tin of minis. I thought it was a brick of 5 tins, but it was only one. I wasn't drunk or tired, or anything, I just mis-read it. Someone else with the same problem came along and outbid me. Fortunately, I was only a couple of dollars over the CI regular price, so even if I had won it wouldn't have ruined me.

I got stung once on some Oliva 0's. I had a bid in and happened to go by my B&M on my way to work. I had completely forgotten that Id strongly recommended she start stocking Oliva's and lo and behold, she bought the whole damn line. She was selling them for right about my bid price and then it hit me, EGAD! SHIPPING!

New rule: Never forget shipping.

One nice thing about that CI free shipping. I now figure that when I bid on Cbid. Many times it's hard to beat the catalog sale prices.

i am blocking cbid in my firewall! been messing around on there for about a week and a half and have chalked up over 300$ and still have about 100$ still open!

OK, I'm not bidding, and I have had 4 drinks, so forgive me.
I bid about 30% less than I can buy them for on line. If I don't get it, no worries, if I do, I win or at least I feel I do. I have gotten a lot of 5 packs to try this way and it's been good for my humi!

The ones I win I'm usually shocked, but happy. I also make sure I'm not just buying a 5 pack, I want to at least ship in 20 sticks or the shipping takes away from what I'm buying.

It's fun and I have a bunch of smokes from the bid site and enjoy the buys I get, but you have to be careful.
