Just out of curiousity.. why was this moved to the "Retail/For Profit Sales" forum? Nick is not "selling" anything with this post.. he's informing a large and informed group of brothers of his companies plans to help us all through this tax increase.

I really feel this should be in either General Discussion so many can see it and be aware or in the Meet the Manufacturer section.

I moved the thread into the Retailers section.

Nick is a retailer and although he wasn't necessarily selling something specific, I did view it as an ad promoting his company, and there's nothing wrong with that, but I felt it belonged in there.

Lately we've had several retailers coming into the forums, posting in the wrong forums, and accounts getting "zapped" for spam, because of Puff rules. Thought it would be "safer" for Nick if it was in there.

All members have access to the Retailer Forum, so it's not really hidden from anyone.

Edit: On second thought, you're right, probably should go into the Manufacturers area.

I have moved it back to the General Cigar Discussion area for now since it is a subject that should not be overlooked. We need manufacturers to take a stance and Nick has done this with his cigars. I think it is really great that he is thinking of the consumer.

I've always really enjoyed your cigars. My humidors are littered with them, from the habanos and the old reserve maduros (I horded a few of these when I heard the blend was changing), to the patriachs and new 10th annivesary maduros, both of which I have not yet tried due to the weather around here. They will meet a firey death soon though, and I am sure they will be as consistently flavorful and high quality as the rest of your cigars.

Nick it was a very magnamous decision on you and your family,s part to absorb the schipp tax.
and youre cigars are one of my favorites always smoke em. i sincerly thank you for the schipp absorbation, and the quality cigars at afforadable prices you produce. Maybe some of the other manufacturers could learn a lesson here.

That really was a classy thing to do. I can't honestly say i've ever had any Perdomo, but after reading how they're looking out for us, I definately plan on trying something from them.
