CI Legends Yellow Label (Pepin)

MusicMan traded me a couple sticks for my Isla Del Sols I had. This CI Legend was one of em. I smoked it last night and was really really impressed. The first few puffs were really spicy but it mellowed really quick and was just nice and smooth the rest of the way. If youve read my other post you know that my pallet sucks! It can tell me if its good or bad and thats about it. I can distiguish some things like woody, nutty, ect but I cant put my finger on this stick. It was just plain good! Mind you this is the first Pepin Ive tried so I cant speak for his other stuff but man I dug this cigar. It was nice and firm with good draw. Almost looked machine made it was so perfect. Ill definetly be trying some more Pepin stuff in the future.

This is my least favorite of the DPG blends I've tried so far. If you like this one, you should love the Blue Label, Cuban Classic, Series JJ, etc.

This is one of the few pepin smokes that I have not tried. Some people love them and some people don't.

Guess I have to go to the devil for a 5er

Re: CI Legends Yellow Label (Pepin)

Like most of the CI Legends, The Pepin version is a milder version of other Pepin lines. Starts off with the signature wood/pepper burst, then it mellows.

When in the mood for a milder cigar, I've liked most of the CI legends. Yellow (Pepin), Red (Perdomo), and Purple (Graycliff) are pretty good. The rest aren't bad either, each of them evoking some of the trademark flavors of their makers.

You can score any of these for $2-4 per stick at the Devil Site.

After 18 months of rest the yellows are really good cigars for the money..

Re: CI Legends Yellow Label (Pepin)

Glad you enjoyed the Pepin. I think it is a great cigar for the price and so far is one of my favorite Pepin Cigars. After aging 18 months it would be interesting to try but I don't know if I could be that patient!

I agree with you on the perdomo legends. Awesome smoke for the money. They were on a joe deal yesterday for 15 at $29.99.

I am interested to give the Camacho legends a try soon
