another crappy Cbid shippment!

Got another box from Cbid today. 2 bundles of torpedos layed in a box 8" too big both ways with a few inflated bags ontop. When you shake the box you hear a nice "thump thump" sound. Luckily they were ok.

Same... Who run them? Isn't it Cigars International? I see a lot of their product that no one else has on their. Don't really see exclusives from other companies.

I was gonna type more for that first post but got called away to plunge a toilet! MMMMMM!! Good times! So anyhow...this was the second time in 2 weeks ive got a shipment from Cbid that was packaged like this. First time they were boxed cigars so it was kinda ok i guess but bundles are a different story and if I hear one person say "why you cryin they are only crappy bundled cigars" im gonna fricken snap!!! I work damn hard for my money and I rarely have any to spare for decent smokes so I have to settle for cheaper alternatives. So when they arrive like some crackhead boxed em up I get a little upset. Thank god UPS didnt play hacky sack with this one like they have done to some in the past. If this woulda been a $200 box packaged in the same manner Id be ready for war! Its just not acceptable. Doesnt matter if its cigars, barbie dolls, or baseballs....It shouldnt be shipped like this. I wasnt smart enough to take a pic but my description in the first post was NOT an exaggeration!

That's crazy. I'm glad they are okay. I've never had a problem at all (knocking on wood) I will complain if there is a problem. I totally get the I work hard for my money and every cigar is important feeling. Even if I had a collection of 2,000 every cigar is important. My precious...babies

Some day I hope to have a nice collection. All depends how good my software does and how much money I make. Can't wait till the day I have a nice collection.

I agree. When I got my first shipment in I was very surprised. Cigar.com does a much better job in my opinion.

No question they use the absolute minimum packing materials. But like the rest of you, I have not had any damaged cigars. Sometimes the boxes are scratched up. Somehow the cigars, bundles and all, seem to get through OK. I've gotten a lot of bundles of various seconds from cbid and they are always just fine.

Famous has done really well shipping to me in the past. So has CI come to think of it....dont know why they have a problem with Cbid....I think it all ships from the same warehouse.

Could it be that the profit on those cbid sales is pretty low? Sometimes I get cigars for half the catalogue price. There can't be much profit in that so maybe they save as much as they can on the shipping.

It could be but man.....can 2 extra baggies full of air cost that much? cant take that much time to stuff them in the box.
